BANGKOK DAY ONE!

Nothing beats waking up to coffee and beautiful views of Bangkok!  Well, we got the views…

…but NOT the coffee!  Would you believe we purchased coffee with CREAM and SUGAR? 😳😳😳

That being a big NO GO we walked to a nearby cafe and enjoyed a delightful Americano and breakfast.  YUM!  It sure felt good walking the streets of Bangkok again.

John suggested a Bolt ride to the Artist House.  Ahhhh, AMAZING sights to see along the canals. https://theculturetrip.com/asia/thailand/articles/what-is-the-artists-house-in-bangkok

We “Bolted” it back to Centre Point to try our best to buy BLACK coffee for tomorrow morning!  After what we HOPED was a successful purchase, we chose a Tuk Tuk ride over walking back to our condo!  I think I forgot to mention that the temps right now in Bangkok are in the 90’s! WHEW!

Best ride EVER!

Later we met up with our wonderful Thai friends, Somsak and Salinee,

and their two sons, Murf and Mic and families!  What a special reunion it was after not seeing them for ten years!  We gathered at the Thonburi Market, Bangkok’s largest seafood market.  Just envision the largest food court EVER featuring the freshest fish of every kind!

It was AMAZING, as was meeting Mic and Anne’s son, Otto, and Murf and Oyl’s daughters, Grace and Good!  We ate way too much and drank way too much and had the best evening together!  (We missed you, Oyl!)

Ah, Bangkok, it’s great to be back!

  1. Wow! What a beautiful, wonderful full day and night. You could have spent an entire day in the Artist places alone. Then meeting up with dear friends and families on top of that! Bet you slept well!
