BANGKOK DAY TWO!
Nothing beats a room with a view and a cup of rich, dark coffee! And that, my friends, is what John and I enjoyed this morning on our second full day in Bangkok! Yes, we nailed it with our coffee purchase yesterday!
After a few cups of our own brew, we took a seven minute walk past sights and smells of Bangkok (absolutely delish),
past lots of shops and street food vendors before arriving at John’s choice for breakfast, Sarnies.
It proved to be yet another great choice as the food and coffee were spot on!
Late morning, John and I were picked up by Somsak’s sister, Chitra’s driver, and taken to the Atheene Hotel for lunch with her son, Tag and his wife, Belle, and her daughter, Tig and her husband, Daniel, and their daughter, Jessica. Unfortunately, their two sons, Matthew and Michael were sick and couldn’t join us. It was another wonderful Bangkok reunion! (Not to mention, an elegant and delicious luncheon!)
Chitra, once again, showered us with gifts, the most beautiful being two gorgeous traditional Thai floral arrangements. WOW! We so wish they would last forever!
After dinner we walked by a million and a half massage parlors (I kid you not), chose one and enjoyed THE BEST MASSAGES EVER. Even John agreed! We intended to head to an area called Pat Pong but simply could not hang any longer!!! We chose this view instead and went straight to bed!

Were these the people from yesterday’s families??
ReplyDeleteThis was Somsak’s (from the day before) sister’s family!
